SHELTER ORIGAMI is a practical solution for emergency causes.
It is intended to solve the urgent need of a refuge after a natural or man-made disaster. As a designer I came across with the idea of offering my expertise to bring immediate relief to those victims while a long-term solution is waited to be given by the authorities or other humanitarian organization. My shelter is a stucture that is easy to set up, compact and portable. Keeping in mind the previous charactertistics we can offer to the user of this shelter the privacy he needs while adjusting to the space he has. Also, the Shelter Origami has the adavantage of its low price that springs to its massive production. Finally but not least important is the fact that it is totally recyclable, hence friend of the environment.

This easy chair consists of three leaf-like pillows and a textile cover. Being unfolded, it serves as a seatplace for three persons. Unfolded, the pillows can be arranged in various ways: the chair even provides as bed for guests. Toys and small things can be
cumulated in the middle of the seat, they vanish when the pillows are stuffed into the cover. The seat gains its stability without any construction inside. The inner pillows consist of form foam, the project was realized in cooperation with the company Unnapur in Unna, Germany.

For the elementary school De Paradijsvogel, the duo of KapteinRoodnat (Marleen Kaptein and Stijn Roodnat) made an art work consisting of several hundred meters of bright green tubes, which occupy the schoolyard and the assembly hall. Inspired by Jacques Tati's 'Mon Oncle'.

The Da Vinci Alarm Clock works on a very basic system. The Dot Matrix display will always show either Sleep or Awake. When the product is first switched on the display will immediately show the word Awake. This will continue to be displayed for 3 hours at 30 minutes. At this point the clock display will change to show the word Sleep and a high-pitched alarm will signal this change in state. This will continue to sound until the user presses the alarm-reset button. The word sleep will continue to be shown for the next 30 minutes, at which point the display will revert back to show the word awake, the alarm will also sound at this point to signal that a change in state has occurred. The 4-hour cycle will repeat itself six times over the course of a 24-hour period and will continue to do so until the clock is switched off. If the user follows the directions given by the clock then they will be able to enjoy the benefits of a 21-hour day, with little of the associated tiredness they would normally experience.
